In line with the recent announcement, the provincial administration of Sindh has declared two holidays. November 9 has officially been designated as a public holiday to commemorate Iqbal Day, as indicated by a notification from the Government of Sindh.
Furthermore, there’s an additional holiday to celebrate Diwali on November 13, which has been specifically declared for the Hindu community. This holiday extends to government offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils under the administrative control of the Sindh government.
It’s worth noting that the public holiday for November 9 was reinstated last year by ex-premier Shehbaz Sharif after being suspended in previous years.
